Aaron Jones is a multi-instrumentalist
performer from Brooklyn, NY. His performances meld indie rock,
concept albums and literary inspiration, live looping, and clever
songwriting into a one-of-a-kind musical-theatrical experience.
he's not on tour with 90's alternative rock stars Luscious Jackson,
or writing downtown rock musicals (Of Honey Bees and the Brevity of
Such Things, Galois, (for 2g), and Hamelin, in collaboration with
Otis Sallid [Smokey Joe's Cafe]), he performs with Banana Baron, the
story-inflected kindie pop project he created with his wife, Anna
He's also an active teaching artist for a variety of independent music programs and schools. He's taught for Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Arts Connection, Encores!, and Jitterbugs NYC, and done special performances at a number of schools around NYC.
Aaron has performed around the globe, written music for TV
pilots (Rack and Ruin), NPR, and has been seen on The Late Show with
David Letterman, VH1, WFUV, and featured in Broadway World, and on
Spare the Rock. He holds an MFA from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre
